Jim has 21 years of experience leading the strategic development efforts of a variety of brands. His career covers a broad range of over 80 categories from packaged goods and beverages to financial services, software and technology. Jim has a broad range of experience including advertising, brand management, and market research. In his role at Catalyst:SF, he is integrally involved in developing the positioning and selling stories for a variety of horizontal networks, vertical networks, and leading publishers. In addition to his ad network marketing experience, some of the brands Jim has helped develop include Bank One, Cablevision, Cap’n Crunch, Darden Restaurants, Hyundai, Kodak, Microsoft, Ofoto, Oracle University, Sega, Showtime, SOAPnet, Suave, Virtual Makeover, Wachovia, and Zone.com. Jim’s target experience spans B2B as well as B2C, including a strong track record marketing to broad audiences as well as specifically to key market segments including men, women, teens/tweens, children, Hispanics, and African Americans. Jim holds an MBA in Marketing from the University of Chicago, and a BA in US History from the University of Pennsylvania.
